Lifelock - Cancel Service

TEMPE, ARIZONA -- I had gone on line to activate the service. I was doing this for my parents. No problem they took the credit card and the service was activated. Since then my parents decided they no longer want the service. I went on line to cancel it but you must call them. I called and was told since it was my parents credit card they would not cancel the service. I find it offensive that when I gave them the credit card they weren't concerned about who's card it was.

Most places only ask for the security code number on the back of the card when ordering online, for some reason they feel that's secure (Though if anyone stole the card, they would still have the number on the back of the card).
Usually when canceling a service the company will require you to call to cancel because this gives them the chance to pressure you into keeping the service or selling you some kind of upgraded service.
Sometimes they will just ask for your parent to get on the phone to give them permission to speak with you and they will probably ask a few questions like their SS# or date of birth etc.
