Electrolux - 30" Slide in stainless steel 5 burner convection oven
$500 worth of labor and $300 of replacement parts - Complaint
BRECKSVILLE, OHIO -- We purchased a 5 burner Electrolux covection oven in 2007. One year later the the reading on the burners would get an error message and it wouldn't stop beeping until you put the lock button on to lock both the stove and burners making it unusable.
After 3 trips by a serviceman who stated that in the end he had seen this same problem and the Electrolux support team "gave up" and didn't know what was wrong we had spent $800 and now it can't be used at all...$2400 down the drain.
A manager at Electrolux offered to give us half off if we purchased another one. You're kidding right? Why on earth would I ever buy anything from them.
I wish I had checked consumer reports and not been in such a hurry to finish my new kitchen by adding and over priced piece of metal that is worthless.
Wonder if Kelly Ripa knows what she's backing? I think I'll drop her a line.
I'm reporting both the serviceman and Electrolux to the BBB.
