LITTLE FALLS, NEW JERSEY -- I had a radiator hose blow on a cayenne turbo this morning on the GSP. I proceeded to drive to the closest repair shop I could find which turned out to be TriCounty Lexus. I patiently waiting until the service dept opened at 730 am. The service writer was courteous but the service manager sat at his desk and told the service writer that they couldn't look at it since it wasn't a "Lexus ". I asked him if he could put on a regular Lexus hose just to get me back on the road so I could get to the Porsche dealer about 5-6 miles away. He declined to even look at my truck to see if he could replace the hose, repair it temporarily or call Porsche for a part. Makes you wonder why anyone would ever want to get involved with TriCounty Lexus. After owning a number of high end cars & SUV's I will never darken the doors of a Lexus store again.

I wouldn't expect Lexus to stock Porsche parts or to even have a hose that would come close to matching the Porsche part. They could have offered to procure the part though.

Interesting. Perhaps they felt that if they put on the wrong part that they would be liable if it failed and overheated your engine.
