CELEBRATION, FLORIDA -- I went to the emergency room at Florida Hospital Celebration today with my 7 year old son. They remodeled the ER room and parking. They no longer offer ER parking other than a guy for valet parking. Seeing that I am untrusting of valet, as I'm sure many people are, I was told I had to park at the very front of the hospital and walk 1 mile back to the ER with my sick 7 year old son. Because I asked if the nurse would watch my 7 year old son while I parked my car, they called security on me!!! I could not believe it!
Then, as I was waiting in a room with my 7 year old son, a nurse came out of the room next door to us, and said to another nurse, "I want to shoot myself." Wow! Nice Christian hospital. I will never go back there again.

Many hospitals now are doing this. They have valet parking as a courtesy, and for some it's helpful, for others not so.

Sorry you were so inconvenienced and I hope your son is OK.

You didn't trust a valet to park your car but you would've trusted a nurse, a stranger, to watch your son while you parked the car a mile away. Hmmmm. . .

I do hope your child is okay, but I have to agree with Jane here. It's somewhat baffling that someone would allow a complete stranger to watch their sick child, but at the same time not trust someone to park their car for them.

Also there's nothing in the bible that I'm aware of that prohibits sarcasm. I'll also go as far to say that if there is a next time, and this is the closest hospital around, you may not have a say in the matter...
