PORTLAND, OREGON -- I have a 2012 Acura TL and have 4000 miles on it. I has been in the Ron Tokin Acura shop 5 times. The battery indicator states "The battery has only limited amount of power. Have dealer check or replace battery as soon as possible". The dealer told me they don't know how to fix it. They have replaced the battery and everything. They want to at their cost hook up a charger to my car at my home. I told them this was unreasonable. They will now refund my $41700 for the vehicle. I don't know what to do now. Now it won't start.

sounds like there's a drain somewhere on the battery even when the car is off. They need to fix this under warranty. If they cannot fix this problem in timely manner you need to invoke the lemon law in your state. If they've already agreed to buy back the vehicle, then they'll just have to send a tow truck to retrieve it.

There definitely is a drain on the battery. Unless the service dept is completely inept this is a fixable problem. They can put a tester on the battery and measure the drain. They would also have to measure the drain on a similar vehicle which has no problems. All cars have a minor drain when not running due to the electronics installed. The difference in drain is what they would need to find. Because of space I will not go into details of how to do this but you start with pulling fuses to isolate areas. It can take awhile but it is not difficult.
