Gold's Gym - They Keep billing me; I cancelled and am not under contract!!
gym membership - Complaint
EAST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT -- Gold's gym in East Hartford strikes again. After several e-mails back and forth with the manager Matt requesting my membership to be cancelled, they are still auto withdrawing money from my checking for my gym membership. I have been out of contract since October of 2011.
My dad died in January and I could not make it down to cancel in person. I live out of the area and work has move to Manchester. Still Matt insists that's what I need to do cancel in person or send him certified mail. I will not. They are heartless and poor business people. In the 2 years I was there, membership saw a steady decline or so it seemed by the next to empty gym in the morning. BUYER BEWARE!!! this dog bites!!!!
