Northwest Airlines Compliment - delays and lies - labor problems
As a frequent NWA flier I have noticed the total colapse of service since the onset of the mechanics strike. I flew from Norfolk, VA to Seattle with a layover in Detroit on the first day of the strike, and experienced delays on both legs of the flight we were delayed and given various reasons. I flew back home from San Francisco a month later and again all legs were delayed. In Detroit we had to go back to the gate because of "weight and Balance" issues. They forced 3 passengers to get off the flight and replaced them with 1 (a NWA employee). This delayed us over an hour. My wife was told here in Norfolk that the delay was caused by "heavy winds" in Detroit. It is obvious that the remaining employees are in a work slow down to help the Stiking mechanics, but do not have the honesty to say so.
It was stated by the mechanics union that they would see the airline fold rather than compromise, well I am now on thier side and will help by not flying NWA again even at the loss of Elite status and over 100,000 miles
