Prudential Fianancial - Term Ins matured - paid $7,000 more in premiums

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY -- Passaic, NJ. While I own up to the fact that I am responsible for not reading Pru's notices informing me that my Pru Term ins matured - it would have taken JUST 1 CALL from Pru to get my attention that I was paying almost $7,000 dollars more than I should have! Problem is, we were both unemployed, taking care of developmentally challenged children, and my elder Uncle (and his finances/Pru ins), and we get inundated with mail from Pru since EVERYONE/THING is insured through Pru.

Sad part is, if the ins was expiring (instead of maturing), I’m sure a computer would have flagged the account and I would have received a call, since the flow of money into Pru was ending.

After 62 yrs of never missing a payment I FEEL VERY LET DOWN by Prudential (not my rock).

This is where having an agent with your interests in mind can really come in handy. We've had the same agent for thirty years (not Prudential), and his office would never let this happen. I think 62 years entitled you to a courtesy call, at the very least.

Maybe I am misreading what you have written. It seems as if Prudential sent you the appropiate notice but you were too busy to read said notice. If this is the case how can you hold Prudential responsible?
