DAVENPORT, IOWA -- My husband and I visited the Burger King on Kimberly Rd. on Tuesday February 21, 2012. We watched a employee sat at the table next to the door cleaning his arms with fingernail polish remover!! The girl that was with him were also cleaning her fingernails!! They were friends. He was not on break because when a customer came in he got right up and waited on them, he did NOT WASH HIS HANDS, HE DID NOT PUT GLOVES ON, HE STARTED TO SERVE THE FRENCH FRIES WITH HIS HANDS WITH THE FRENCH FRIES SCUPPER!! THIS IS VERY UNSANTARY AND IF I GET SICK FROM ANY EMPLOYEE NOT WASHING THEIR HANDS, I WILL CALL MY LAWYER!! I IN TURNED TALK WITH THE MANAGER ON DUTY SHE WAS THERE AND WATCHED THE WHOLE UNGLY SIGHT!! I WILL CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING ABOUT THIS MATTER!! WE WILL NEVER EAT at another Burger King again!!

You indicate that you talked with the manager. What did he or she say?

I find it best to avoid Burger King.

Shirley, you lost me when you began screaming. Why threaten to boycott all Burger Kings because of the uncouth actions at one store? I do not find this helpful, and i am sure a lawyer will jump right on this, as soon as he finishes flossing his cat.

I would be grossed out too, but I wouldn't boycott an entire chain based on what I observed at one location. In addition to talking to the manager, which sounds like they didn't really care, you could also submit feedback to BK corporate: http://www.tellusaboutus.com/comments/commentform/burgerking.aspx

you can tell BK corporate who will then refer it back to the district manager who will refer it to the manager of that store anyway.. I was a manager for bk and that is the process. You can call the health department. They may or may not do a visit but unless they catch it themselves nothing will be done.
