Lowes - Difficulty getting appliance added to good account and poor delivery
appliances and installation - Complaint
STAFFORD, TEXAS -- Independent contractor hired to install my dishwasher was very, rude. I operate a business from home. I was wrapping up my business transaction, and he just laid on the horn, to indicate his displeasure at being kept waiting.
After I finished working, I asked him why he was sounding his horn - he got VERY belligerent. It appears that I'm to stop earning an income any time I'm to receive a delivery, and should drop anything, including a paying by the hour client once a delivery shows up.
I firmly told him that I was working and that I found his blasting his horn at me to be very disrespectful. He told me in no uncertain terms that he didn't care.
Then he entered my home, and told me that he couldn't install the dishwasher because there was a cat in the closet under the sink, and he didn't like cats. Although I reassured him that the cat was scared, and wouldn't hurt him, he refused to install the dishwasher unless I removed the cat.
He was out of reach, but the contractor wanted me to hit him with a broom to remove him. NO WAY. I told him that there was no way I was going to abuse an animal, who wasn't even a threat to him.
I put in a complaint to the company. Cats are the no.1 pet in the US, so if you have a contractor who won't install an appliance because you have a cat - it's a major problem.
