SANTA FE SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA -- I am trying to cancel my service, but I cannot do so on line. They put me with a representative which I can't communicate with, as I am hearing impaired. When they want to sell, I have no problem hearing and understanding, but their reps are very difficult for me to communicate with.

It doesn't help that their call center is in India. When I cancelled with them 4 years ago, it was ridiculous!

The best thing to do is send them a certified/return receipt requested letter notifying them of your cancellation. Advise a specific date for the cancellation to be effective and that you will not be responsible for any charges incurred after that date.

Doing this will save you a lot of grief later when these bozo's try to claim you never canceled. Do a little research and you will find many people have tried to cancel verbally only to run into problems later with them.
