Bank of America - Homeowner lying to get modification

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND -- I just want to say that boa and other banks ARE doing there jobs in helping people get loan/mortgage modifications...What I also want to point out is, there are people lying to get the help and they don't need it. Anyone can stop making mortgage payments and cry proverty..I know someone through a friend that owns a 2 fam. house, He moved into the basement and rents out the first fl. and keeps the utitiles in his name so it looks like he lives there and tells the bank he gets no rent from 2nd unit. Well he gets rent from 1st. and 2nd which pays for over his mortgage payments and he gets to keep 400 monthly..He hasn't paid his mortgage in over 11 months and is waiting to get help. I just don't think its right that he can afford his house and crys proverty. Why don't boa check on the people that want the modification before handing over money and lowering there payments... Anyone who owns a multi-fam. should not be asking for help!!! he could very well pay his mortgage with out a problem..So that said, there must be tons of people doing the same thing...WAKE-UP BOA !!!
