IHOP - Customer wait time and customer service.
LAUREL, MARYLAND -- February 28, 2012 at approximately 8am I waited almost twenty minutes for someone to appear and ask if I was ordering out or sitting in to eat. Before the gentleman finally appeared, the young lady that was in front of me left and I had to ask another employee if someone could provide service. Once the employee appeared he said, "May I help you?" to a group of people that clearly came in after me and seated them.
I quickly told him I was here before that group. He replied by saying, "Are you ordering out?" I told him yes. The gentleman proceeded to take my order. The employee then quickly gave the cook my order with an attitude. Employees should be available to provide service soon as you enter any restaurant. Whether a customer is sitting in to eat or ordering carry-out, respectable service should be universal.
