Avoid Using Orbitz! Cost me an extra $600!
Customer service. - Complaint
Purchased a flight and hotel package to New York. Decided I wanted to be alittle closer to some of the attractions I wanted to see. I called Orbitz to see if I could change my hotel and was told yes as long as it didn't interfere with the hotel's cancellation policy. I told the woman I wanted to check on different hotels and prices so that's what we did. I did not end up finding anything better so I told her that I'll just stick with what I have. She tells me that she already cancelled my hotel reservation, gave me a refund for the hotel, and there is no way to go back and I need to re-book. I ended up speaking with a supervisor and she said that the person I spoke with had to have told me that she was cancelling my reservation and that there was no turning back after it's cancelled. Well the customer service woman did not say that to me and took it upon herself to cancel it! So now I have a flight to New York and no hotel! Ended up booking a hotel because I couldn't do a package anymore and it cost me an additional $600 on top of the original cost. Don't take a chance with these guys, it's not worth it!
