Travelocity - Take Your Money and Then Don't Care
Hotel Complaint and Customer Service - Complaint
So I booked a package through Travelocity...car, flights and hotel.
When we got to the hotel my son (3 months old) was tired (as it was late)but we had already called ahead and asked that a crib/bassinet be in our room when we arrive. Of course, it wasn't. Called reception and then sent one up but it was disgusting..covered in stains and dirt. I called to get another one and eventually they came with what was described as "the cleanest one we have" - but it was still substandard. Anyway, the staff at the hotel were nice, but since I booked through Travelocity they couldn't do much (no free night, discount, refund etc.).
When I got home, I wrote to Travelocity, explained the situation and even sent them pictures (oh, I forgot to mention that we aso found a pair of underwear from the previous guest in our room...gross. They agreed it was bad and they said they would work withthe hotel. A few days later, Travelocity wrote back to say that the hotel wasn't willing to do anything so case closed. They then put in a rather insulting piece in the email about how they tell me by email that I should call them as soon as I have a problem.
OK, 1. that makes me feel stupid and 2. Could Travelocity magically produce a clean crib? They might have moved us to another hotel but I was already in my hotel room, it was late and my infant son was exhausted...moving to another hotel wasn't really an option.
As far as I'm concerned, Travelocity sided with the hotel and essentially used the hotel's unwillness to help as an excuse.
