Verizon - Fios service issue leading to cancellation
Fios TV - Complaint
PLANO, TEXAS -- On Feb 4th I had FiOS installed at my home. I was very excited the features and internet speed are great. The DVR in my living room keeps recording partial programs, Not allowing us to view some recorded programs, Is very slow to respond to commands. After discussing with the Tech deparment it is clear this is a defective set top box..it happens. Here is the problem. I signed a two year contact. I have 30 days to get out of the contract before being hit with a cancellation penalty. today is the 29th day. The tech stated that the set top box should resolve the issue. All I asked for was time, say 10days, to evaluate the system with a working set top box. Since last night I have spoken with no less than four people none could give me to 10 days. The will arrive on Monday but, that is day 31. If I hook it up and the problem continues I would have to pay penalty to cancel the service. I did not want to take the risk. No I will be without internet, phone and TV until I'm able to find someone to install an alternate service. REALLY you spend hundreds of dollars on an in home tech to install my service, plus marketing and equipment costs and you will loose my business over 10 days. I do not want to change services but, I also don't want to be handcuffed to a service that appears to not work.
Can anyone help me??
