Palm Pilot tungsten T5 - Complaint

ONTARIO, CANADA -- In June 2011, I bought a Palm Pilot PDA from Guaranteed Tech though Amazon. The one I picked would not HotSync with my Windows 7 operating system. I contacted Guaranteed Tech and they had me return it to a place in Florida. Then I got the replacement from them but at a higher cost. That was OK since I really needed something to work with my computer. At first they sent me the wrong charger and it was a month before they sent me the correct one so I could start using the PDA. Right from the beginning there were problems with accessing the letters and numbers. I bought several different styluses thinking that was the problem but that didn't help. I contacted Guaranteed Tech and was told I needed to hard restart it. I did. It lasted 24 hours. Thinking I may have done something wrong, I asked an engineer friend who has a similar PDA for help. He did the hard restart again. It lasted 24 hours. I have emailed the company multiple times but they do not respond at all. I only use my PDA for a calendar and address book so I do not need anything fancy (or expensive). I don't know how to resolve this. Can anybody help me?

Since you are dealing with a discontinued item it is likely you are buying refurbished units and there really isn't much support you can find. HP now owns Palm and it's pretty much a dead line so finding much support from them will be difficult. Even their own Touch Pad (which was built off the Palm OS) has no support due to being dropped.

The big problem seems to be that there is no compatibility with Windows 7. Your only hope is that you have Win 7 Pro or Ultimate and you can download the Win XP compatibility mode and Virtual PC application from Microsoft. This may allow you to sync the device if it's working. But if the device is still dead you are kind of out of luck.

My best guess is the company you purchased through can't help you and is probably just ignoring you. I'd either contact them for a refund or talk with Amazon.
