WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI -- In Dec. I moved into a rent house that has propane gas as its main source for heat. When I went order the gas I had to pay all of it up front, even tho the receipt I got after I paid for the gas says the customer has 30 days to pay. I am self-employed. I mow yards for a living and if I tried to make them pay before I mowed, then I wouldn't have any yards to mow. I cannot go to a different gas company because West Plains Propane owns the tank where I reside.

They are selling you a product. It may be possible to set up an account with them so that you have 30 days to pay but even then most companies will want the initial fill to be paid upon delivery.

Many companies make you pay first. Especially for the first payment, could you imagine if they came out and filled someone's tank and then that person decided NOT to pay them? The tank is filled and it's not like the company can just come and take it back.
