-- Have been a H.S.B.C. Credit card holder since 1977 when this lousy bank took over Marine Midland bank. 2 weeks ago, I received a new credit card from this Bank. It had a different card number. When I called, I was told it was an upgrade that was unknown or asked for. When I had a question 3 days ago, I was told my credit card was cancelled for low usage. I have several cards and never use any of them more than 2 or 3 times a year. My credit score is 820, near the highest one can have. No other bank complained except this no good bank. *** H.S.B.C. Bank sucks ! *** If they treat someone with an 820 score, you'd better have a perfect one !

If you have an 820 credit score you are not part of the target group for HSBC. This bank caters to customers who pay their bills but often late and who carry a balance on their credit cards.

I have pretty darned good credit, but I have no idea what no score is. Checked it once in my life, maybe 5 years ago.

Plain and simple, the bank decided carrying your account on their books was not profitable. They extended you credit that you were not using. The "risk" of not making any money off you was too great, and that is what they are in business to do.
