Lowes sells defective major appliances such as Whirlpool & Samsung
Whirlpool Dryer & Samsung Refrigerator
JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI -- We purchased a Samsung refrig to replace a refrig that was operating fine, but was an older model major brand refrig. We thought the refrig was new, but we learned after several repairs that it was 5 years old when we bought it. We lobbied for months for a new replacement or for what we thought we were buying before Lowes and Samsung agreed to replace it. However, although we were promised at least $200 for food replacement cost we did not receive a dime for food loss. We called repeatedly to another Lowes store in Ridgeland, MS complaining about what we thought was a new Whirlpool dryer that does not dry on the first regular cycle. Although we have complained repeatedly about the dryer during the warranty period, the dryer was not allowed to be replaced. The repairman has come out repeatedly and the dryer does not dry unless you run it twice. The old Whirlpool dryer was actually better than the new dryer. We are convinced that Lowes sells refurbished major appliances. We will not purchase another Whirlpool or Samsung major appliance.
