McDonald's - Extremly rude manager
ordering food - Complaint
SALEM, VIRGINIA -- My wife & I were in at Lakeside Mcdonald's in Salem Virginia on 3/19/2012 and we asked about the Daily Double sandwich. The manager on duty promtly said that there wasn't any item like that on the menu and the cashier said that she was able to ring it up. We pointed it out on the extra value menu and the manager snapped that it wasn't on the dollar menu and that we didn't know what we were talking about. We once again pointed the item out on the menu and were told this time that since the price was incomplete the item was unavailable. At this point an employee in the seating area spoke up and said that if it could be rung up it should be available. The manager quickly attempted to change the subject by telling us that instead or ordering a double cheeseburger we should order a mcdouble because they are just charging more for an extra piece of cheese on the same sandwich. We felt like our original question was pushed away and our intrest in a new item was completely ignored. I will not ever visit this particular location again due to the behavior of the manager in charge of the store. It is unfortunate to see such a lack of manners and consideration for the customer. It is hard to understand how such a rude person could be considered for a leadership role at such a busy location. I hope that the upper management of the local area take the time to look into this blatant disregard of customer service.
