Charter - Billing Stinks
Internet and phone service - Complaint
SPRING HILL, TENNESSEE -- We had Charter internet and phone installed on 2/24/12. I received a bill that was due on 3/15/12, obviously not quite a full month of usage had occurred. I had some wisdom teeth removed during which time my bills went unpaid for a few days. I received a "Final Notice Before Disconnect" dated 3/18/12, threatening that if I did not pay the bill upon receipt of the letter, my "Service would be disconnected; A fee will be required to reconnect service; Charter's field staff will reclaim all provided equipment; Your account may be listed with a credit bureau as delinquent; Your account may be turned over to a collection agency. When I was with AT&T (which I left because internet speed sucked), I could go for two full months and never receive a THREAT to my credit rating. If Charter doesn't watch out, I will be searching for another ISP. I will NOT be bullied by someone who is working for ME to provide ME with a service.
