FedEx Kinkos Informative - Pathetic Customer Service Re: Extra $200 Charge

94720, CALIFORNIA -- I am extremely disappointed with the Berkeley branch of FedEx Kinkos, and from the looks of it, their customer service isn't that great in other places too.

I made 100 photocopies and had the cashier process the charge in order to apply the student special. I left the store with two transactions on a receipt that did not match what I found on my online bank account the next day - which was one correct charge and one very, very wrong $200+ charge.

I was quick to return to the store and tell them this. They were even quicker about charging the transaction they forgot, but it has been THREE MONTHS and the mis-charged $200+ has still not been returned.

Not only that, but the quality of the photocopying was pretty shoddy anyway. The employees refused to refill the ink/toner until there was absolutely none left, at which point the flyers I made were hardly legible. FedEx Kinkos prides itself on its superior quality, but I saw none of it.

I have talked to FedEx Kinkos employees on average once a week since the incident, and every time they have taken my contact information and promised to get back to me. NOT ONCE has anyone in that store done anything of the sort.

I am in multiple clubs on campus and each one has a need to make publicity collateral. I am telling all of them NEVER to bring their business here.

This one is so simple-dispute the cahrge with your credit card company and if Kinkos wants the money that badly they can fight with the CC co about it.

Oh, it's bad in Illinois too. Kinko's FedEx is the biggest retail establishment scam I have ever seen.

There is no way that the copies got worse just because the toner was low. Copiers do not work that way. They apply the same amount of toner to every page and when that is no longer possible the machine stops until the toner is refilled. It is unfortunate that you were mischarged, but have you tried contacting the corporate office instead of just the store? Might expedite things a bit.
