Wal-Mart - Does anybody stock anything anymore??
Multiple items not stocked across the entire store - Complaint
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS -- I know, I'm a glutton for punishment, it seems. Last night Baby Clutzy and I headed there to finish up our bi-weekly grocery run. It was about 4:45pm when we arrived and it was 5:30pm when we left, just to give you an idea of the time of day we were there. First of all, they were out of the Oscar Mayer preservative-free turkey hot dogs (Baby C's favorite). Ok, fine, I substituted with regular turkey dogs (just this once won't hurt). Next, there was no lemonade powder. At all. Fine. I grabbed a container of Tang. Next, they had no Purex fabric softener for sensative skin (remember, Baby C deux is due in the next month, so I've already made the necessary transition). Ok, I found some Downey free and clear. Finally, they were out of both size 6 and size 1 diapers in ALL brands! What on earth?! There's no substitute for those, obviously. That was the straw the broke the camel's back. I went to the check out and I asked the cashier to speak with a manager. All I got from the manager was a half hearted "sorry" and some lame excuse that the department managers do the ordering for their departments. I said that I didn't care about the ordering, I cared about the stocking, and apparently a minimum of 3 department managers weren't doing their jobs. She said she'd look into it (yeah, let me hold my breath). Then, when all that was said and done (this exchange all took place while the cashier was still checking out my stuff), the cashier had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to apply for a Walmart CC. I told her H*** no and walked out.
I do plan on letting corporate know that they've lost quite a bit of money from me when it comes to buying diapers and other items for both my new baby and the new babies of several friends, for whom I'll be buying gifts and diaper cake making supplies. This is poor behavior, even for Walmart.
