HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA -- I called empire for an in home consult which I thought was a great idea not having to leave home. The samples were this very plush great quality carpet. I ordered 3000.00 in carpet which I felt was a good deal in the month of Feb I set a appointment for it to be installed on March 21, that didn't happen they told me the next day, no carpet, told me it would be Sat, still no carpet on Sat. finally on the following Tue, they arrived I was not home, my husband was, The carpet they installed was no where near the quality of the sample I choose from. I will be probably be buying more carpet in about 5 years if I'm lucky enough for it to last that long. I will never use empire again, and I wish was not the I had read the reviews first. If you are considering empire carpet DON'T DO IT. This was not the quality of carpeting I choose for my home, I had better carpet removed:

vtrinette08 I am very sorry to hear you got trapped by Empire. I wish the information available here, in the form of reviews of honest customers ripped of by places like Empire, was more available to people like yourself who are in the market for any sort of major purchase. I only hope that Empire will be made accountable for there lousy business practices. I would suggest to contact the Attorney General of your state as well as the Federal trade commission. Taking these actions is by no means a guarantee that you would be able to retrieve any of your lost money. But the Federal trade commission keeps track of all complaints and if enough people report these crooks then just maybe something will be done to force them to close there doors and quit further burdening an already very sensitive economic situation.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience with Empire. These people are a ripoff who advertise heavily then dupe unsuspecting people in. They use high pressure sales tactics to get your money then deliver shoddy materials to make a killing. If you put this on a C.C. you can dispute the charge. These unscrupulous people need to be shut down.
