I'm not so sure I'd want to purchase any medication from a dollar store. If there's one facet of life that I wouldn't entrust to a dollar store, its medicine. Maybe a jumbo sized container of cheese puffs or something...

I've used OTC medications from Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and other dollar stores before...they're about the same as store brands carried by other retailers, although the dollar store products often come in smaller sizes so they can be sold for $1-$2 or so. Dollar store antacids work just like Tums, and dollar store ibuprofens work just like Advil.

Family Dollar isn't really a dollar store, everything is just $5.00, $6.00... no cents.

Still, Family Dollar and Dollar General is cheaper on their OTC medicines than drugstores and supermarkets.
