BMW of Gainesville - Terrible Service/ Unknowledgable Technicians.
BMW 330 - Complaint

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA -- I recently took my BMW 330 in. It would not start. They tell me it would cost $100 to have it check out. I went in detail of the problem. It would turn over but intermittenly shut off and some time it would start other times it wouldn't. I told them I had alternator, Battery checked. They were both good. After leaving it to them for 3 days, they called and said the computer said nothing was wrong with my car (You can imagine how I felt). I had a guess it might be the fuel pump or line but they insisted there was nothing wrong.
I went to pick up my car, paid them $100+ tax. It didn't start when I tried to leave the lot. I went back in, pointing to them the problem. They had the nerve to ask me to pay another fee to have it checked again. The Tech told me if it was the fuel pump then it would cost over $800 to fix +$400 for part. Furious by their demand, I towed my car home. Went to auto Zone got the part $100 with 30min I fixed my own car. Don't take your car to these Thieves!!

That is a dealer that cares absolutely nothing about customers. Their only goal is to extract the maximum amount of money from any victim that passes by. Sounds like a real scum bag dealer.

This truly is bad, bad form. I hope the OP has some local forums on which to share this story. Definitely report this to the BBB (just for the record).
