Cabela's - If I had wanted to look like a Smurf....

Laredo Steel Blue men's shirt - Complaint

ONLINE, PENNSYLVANIA -- First of all, I really love the shirts I ordered - they were exactly what I was hoping for in terms of look, feel, and materials. But there is one problem. The 'STEEL BLUE' is turning my skin blue. I have washed the shirt four times now (twice in warm water and twice in cold water) and it is still leaving blue dye on my skin. I haven't worn the shirt in six days and I am still blue - having showered everyday. I have also had to change my bed sheets due to blue dye that rubbed off of me onto the sheets. With the fourth washing, I had to re-wash an entire load of laundry because of a slight blue tinge to everything in the load.
At first, it was kind of comical, as I looked a little like smurf. I figured a washing would solve the problem; then two, three - now four. I really love the shirt but I am afraid to wear it. The 'grain'-colored shirt I ordered is great and I have no problem with it. When I contacted the Cabela's, their answer was basically, "try washing it - again."

Now THERE'S some fine customer service for you. Did you order more than one of the same style? If the others are colorfast, and you called in with this complaint, they should realize you aren't taking them for a ride. Call them back and tell them you'll widen you advertising campaign. You convinced me. Great complaint.

I don't think it should do that either. It would irritate me. If you are going to keep it make sure you wash it with like colors and use these http://www.drugstore.com/shout-color-catcher-dye-trapping-in-wash-cloths/qxp73784. They really do work. Of course, you don't have to buy them on drugstore.com ;)

I had a red shirt that did that. I washed it several times and it still bled. I had to get rid of it. I can't remember where I bought it.
