Singer Lazer Storm vacuum - Complaint
Review by dogmommy on 2005-10-25
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- On August 8, I ordered a Singer Lazer Storm vacuum from a tv infomercial. By mid-September I had heard nothing and not received my order. I tried every day for weeks to send emails to their "customer Service" with no reply. I found that to call the 800 number resulted in a recorded message telling me to email them! What a run-around. Finally, I called the 800 number and stayed on the line for over an hour and got a live person! She explained that there was a large backorder and even though my order had not been shipped, they had charged my credit card with the first 2 payments plus the shipping! I waited another week and called back (by this time, the 3rd payment had been charged to my card). She then told me the Lazer Storm had been discontinued and replaced with the Wind Storm. I told her to cancel the order and credit my account with ALL charges. She told me she had "that minute" cancelled the order and submitted the credits for my card. This was on October 4, I still have not received the credits nor can I reach the company. Emails just don't work so if you have a couple of hours to hang on the phone, you MIGHT get a live person. Good luck on that one. I intend to keep "bugging" them until I get my money back, for a product never received. Also seems funny that if they sell a product on tv, you have to find the company you ordered it from (hard to do if you don't have the invoice from a product never received).
