SANDPOINT, IDAHO -- Super 1 Foods: Sandpoint Idaho

I was shopping at the Super 1 Foods in Sandpoint, ID. about 2 weeks ago. I have been shopping at their stores for years now. Well, until now anyway.

I don't believe the store should put out their sale signs the day before, if they will not stand behind what the shopper believes that the sale price for its now. Let them put 'the sales start tomorrow' and if they don't STAND BEHIND IT THEN.!

How does a shopper know it's for the following day? When you go to the check out with your basket full of sale items and be told by the (Jerk Manager ) that's bagging up your things, "Oh there was no one behind me thankd God, this sale is on tomorrow".

I had told him the veggie guy gave them to me sale price (Brian)was sooo rude to me, I then told him well I would not want to break this store...walked out...not going to shop there again. I then went over to one of his competitors...Wal Mart...Told them of Brain the store manager for Super 1 Foods what a jerk he had been to me. Wal Mart gave me Super 1's sale prices without any trouble!

I'm now a full time shopper at Wal Mart so all you ladies out there..Go on over to Wal Mart they will treat you right!

So, you're saying that Walmart will give people Super 1 Foods' sale prices the day BEFORE their sale even starts? That's pretty big of them!

Well, I agree they should have given you the price, but calling the manager a jerk is very immature. Also I am wondering what the manager really rude or is this a case of no = rude?

That sounds like something WallsMart would do - price match a price that isn't even valid because the sale hasn't started yet.

Good luck at WallsMart. I shopped there for a short time and found it impersonal, items poorly stocked, and rude co-shoppers.

It could have been his tone of voice when he said it. All the same, if they have the sale prices out, they should give it to you for that price. Otherwise I might start making accusations of false advertising.

Call it what you like - false advertising, bait and switch - it just ain't right any way you look at it. I'd give corporate a heads up on this Lynusps. Also, many stores have comment cards you can give your feedback on.

After doing some research into the matter, it looks like the location that the OP went to is a 24 hour location.

If that's the case, then I'll have to give them a pass. They can't close down to move the sale signs around, then open the next day. Granted it would be best if they changed the sale signs around during the late shift, but that might not be possible if they run a skeleton crew at night.

I am sure this store has run into this problem before. Since they are a 24 hour operation it is impossible to magically change prices at the beginning of the sale. What is possible is for the store to include the sales date with their pricing such as( $1.99lb from 3/4 to 3/8)

try shopping at super 1 #636...the managers there curse on the floor and in the stock room..adding the customers hear all that and no one does anything about it...No respect, how can they hope for respect from workers..the managers are doing that, and some of the employees are doing the same, since it is ok from the support team (managers).
