pepsi-cola Complaint - opening of the 750ml bottles

Review by boudie on 2005-10-26
I am from Prince Edward Canada Canada where cans of pepsi are an option. I am middle age with arthritis, osteoporis and a hundred other things which I wont bore you with. My husband and i are both big Pepsi drinkers, however the bottles which are being reused to the nth degree are sometimes impossible to open. there are times when my husband had to get a wrench to get them open. It would do no good to return them to the store because they are mostly all like that.

Please please try and solve this problem as it frustrates the heck out of both of us.

Please let me know if there is any solution to this problem.

Thank you and looking forward to acknowledgement of this complaint.

I feel your pain (literally). Diagnosed at age 19, which was quite a few years ago. For a long time I opened these bottles with pliers. Several years ago I was browsing a store that sold everything imaginable for kitchens. Came upon an item with a vinyl clad 5" long handle, attached to a fan-shaped piece of metal which on the underside has 'gripper' teeth. The wide end of the fan is also 5". I've been using it for years. It cost less than $5. The brand is OXO. Hope you can find one in your area. It's been a Godsend!

Good Advice Ponie. I was going to say the same thing as one of my friends who is also young has rhuemetoid arthritis and has a hard time opening just about anything. I found one of these and she said just about the same thing...a Godsend. P.S. Me loves me diet Pepsi and I would use whatever means to open it :-)

750 ml bottles, that sounds like a whiskey bottle. That is the old fifth, is it not? Does Pepsi use glass bottle that big? I know they do not reuse the plastic 2 liter bottles or even the 1 liter bottles. I am sorry, but this post makes no sense at all.
