Facebook - Getting My Account Banned Because of Mixup in Their Idea of a Wrong Password

I once lost my facebook account due to hacking. This message is to assure that you are the account owner and not a hacker. While its a pain, its worth it not to lose your account like i did! Also, always use a password you can at least remember (update it often), with numbers an syllables to make it a little harder for hackers to get.

If you try too much to login with a bad password, they will freeze your account and you will have to email them (note it may take awhile to get a response). When they do, they will require some proof of id (in my case i had to take a picture of my picture id and prove to them it was in fact me.) But i could not get the account back because it was phished and by the time they could help me i just made another account and they would not allow me to have 2 so i stuck with my new one.
