Large Vanilla Milkshake - Complaint
Resolution Update on 04/16/2012:
The restaurant called today and were very apologetic and is giving me a whole meal with a new milkshake. I am satisfied. If the corporate "customer service site" had lead me to believe it would handled this way I would not have been so frustrated. I thought they were just blowing me off. Thank you.
HANCOCK, NEW YORK -- I purchased a large vanilla milkshake, and after being halfway through it, my straw was plugged. I discovered there was a plastic bag in my milkshake. The bag was 6 x 7 inches and had 1/2 inch high brown printing on it that read " For Shakes Only " in Two languages. I contacted McDonald's on line at their customer service site and informed them of my problem. I thought they would regret my situation and send me a coupon or a voucher for a milkshake to make things right. Instead they responded with what seemed to be a form letter from someone named Jessica with a Ref. # 8773565. They said they were sorry I had this incident and appreciated my feedback, and that they would strive to improve. That was all.
I sent a response to their E-Mail, and stated that I was not satisfied, and that I expected a refund or a coupon or a voucher for a large milkshake. They responded to my first complaint in two days, now it has been a week, and I have not heard from them. My visit to their store was on April 7, 2012. I guess they figure it is okay to have foreign objects in a milkshake since they are not answering me anymore.
