HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I ordered my wedding dress in December 2011 my consultant wasn't knowlegable about everything the dress I really wanted was 200.00 above my budget so I ordered a similar dress in my budget, the dress was the right length and everything but I was told to add extra length no charge so I did and when my dress came back I needed alterations but she said she didn't remember anything and they wouldn't change it for me and now they want me to pay and extra 150.00 to 200.00 for alterations that I don't have and my wedding is June 16th 2012 and I'm so angry if I would have known I would have gotten the more expensive dress at first.

I heard the Davids Bridal $99 sale is only on dresses size 12 and up, so if you are any size smaller then that, you have to get the alterations done there. You cannot take the dress and have it altered somewhere else. That's how they make money when they have the $99.00 sale.

I've had my own bad experience with David's Bridal. I would advise all brides and their bridal party to avoid this place. They really don't care about the customer. They are all about making a sale. When they screw up, they refuse to take any responsibility, unless you fork over more money

I have heard NOTHING good about this place. Frankly, I'm surprised they're still in business.

Well, there will always be a market for companies that sell stuff at lower cost. Look at WallsMart.
