LaFitness - The Worst Managers Ever

DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS -- On April 5, 2012 I went to Lafitness located in Duncanville.
I scan my I. D. and one of the staff name Alexis stop me and pull me at side
and told me that my membership was overdue. I asked her how much would it be to renew it. She told me that it would be 251.00. I told her that when I was transfer from ballys they say that my fee would be 218.00.
since I was only paying 148.00 with ballys. She told my that she did not know who told me that but, she was doing me a favor by let me in the club since my membership was overdue by 4 days. So I ask for the manager. He never came but sender again to tell me that the fee would be 271.00 so they had change the fee from 251. to 271. and she keep saying that they were doing my a favor by letting me in the club. That made me upset.
I call the next day trying to speak to the manager, (Eugene [snip]always unable. Finally he came to the phone I explain to him what had happen, seem not to care and I even told him that I would call the main office to complain, he say that the # that I had was not right and that the location in Duncanville is privately own. He was very ugly in the way he was speaking.

The entire LA Fitness/Bally's merger is pretty much a fiasco - which considering the sources isn't that surprising. You might consider giving them the old heave-ho if you are not in a contract. These are the people you will have to deal with for the next year or two. Good luck.

I would rather buy my own home gym than get scammed by any of these "hard to get out of contract" gyms.

I figured it :). Just had to say my 2 cents any ways lol. Just it seems rediculous to pay 271 dollars for 1 month membershp when someone could put that towards and investment of a good work out machine at home. I have been to gyms with a friend and lets just say that its not worth the hype. I would never ever let them get my bank account or credit card info. And alway read reviews before you join any gym. It seems a lot of people have the same issues.
