NEW YORK -- Ralph Lauren Home Collections- 100% cotton (cotton/algodon) no mention of thread count. Made in Bahrain. The sheets felt like sleeping on paper - they even make a "crinkling" noise. After several launderings there was no improvement. No softness at all.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have some Ralph Lauren bedding, including great queen sized pillows, that I've never had issues with.

Are they no-iron sheets? I have a no-iron shirt the crinkles when I wear it, I hate it. I think they coating the fabric with some kind of plastic. I think it defeats the purpose of buying cotton, I want the cotton to be soft not crinkling plastic. I thought it would wash out but it doesn't. Oh well, learning lesson #500,437,184, and counting....
