I bought a 2007 Toyota car, and it was consuming all the engine oil every 650 mile, and they tell me that is "normal". I bought a extended warranty on my car which covers the repair of engine if something is wrong with it. There is obvious something wrong with the engine if it is consuming engine oil at every 650 mile, but no matter what I say, they just keep admitting it is normal. Toyota just keep dragging the problem till my warranty expires and then do nothing about it. TOYOTA IS A RIP-OFF!!!! If this is how Toyota company going to rip consumer off to buying their extended warranty and not trying to fix what is cover in the warranty, then DON'T sell it!!!

You could contact your state department of consumer affairs, and file a complaint.

I'm not a car person, but I'm pretty sure if the oil is burning out every 650 miles, something is wrong, but with what, I don't know.

I'm sure one of the car people here might have an answer as to what could be causing this problem for you.

They are probably doing as you say, and waiting for the warranty to expire. Shortly afterwards, your engine will expire.

There may be no way to get them to repair your car if it is running fine except the oil consumption is high. And you'll get into having to prove it has had the manufacturer-recommended maintenance the entire time, or they will DQ you. They will make it difficult. Good luck.

Take it to a certified mechanic and he/she will probably find the problem quickly. Then tell the dealer you have had an independent inspection and to fix it or you will have the other mechanic fix it and sue the dealer in small claims court for the cost. That will get their attention.
OR have a lawyer send a letter to the dealer stating they must perform the repair or they will be sued.

Since you cannot get any satisfaction yourself, bring in a 'big gun'.

This is assuming it is really covered under the extended warranty.

This cannot be the complete story. If the OP stated the circumstances accurately the car is consuming at least 1 gallon of oil every 650 miles. If the oil was leaking there would be evidence of the leak, especially at this volume. If the oil was being consumed in the combustion process there would be an extreme amount of smoke not to mention the odor it would cause. Somethings not right.
