OLATHE, KANSAS -- The install of additional maps does not work if you have to use an additions SSD (standard) due to inernal parameter setting that are incorrect. If you call Garmin you may get various incorrect answers and only if you are lucky you get to a person that really knows, even though the problem is even documented in the Garmin Forum, the support people offer really silly (nonworking) solutions ...(remove all USB devices, it is an ActiveX problem etc.). I found it after a full time wasted in the Garmin Forum, but it is difficult too, to use the Forum ... really bad tool.

You could contact Garmin via http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs or at (913) 397-8200, but it looks like you've all ready tried to seek their help with no success. Filing a complaint at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtml might possibly result in someone asking Garmin if they have a defective product.
