CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY -- Pseg has sent me a shut off notice even though usf fund pays toward my bill each month. The company did not send me a bill to pay anything for two months, then when they did it was a shut off notice attached. If I had received my bills for the months of Jan. And Feb., I would have known that the credit to my bill was put towards my newest bills. Now they are going to shut my services off and that's not fair. Its not like there is no payments being made. Usf pays every month, so how can pseg shut me off for non-payment.

Who is Pseg? I assume it must be a utility company for gas, electric or water. What is usf?

What is the Universal Service Fund (USF)?
The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has created the Universal Service Fund (USF) program to help make electric and natural gas bills more affordable for lowincome families. The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) administers the USF program.
