Ashley Furniture - Horrible Customer Service
LAYTON, UTAH -- The customer service is horrible!! Once I dealt with scheduling a delivery- which was a pain, and once they got here- which was another bad experience, they completely scratched my crezenda and cracked my hutch on my office furniture. I called to have it replaced, and they scheduled me three weeks out for a technician. Frustrating that it takes that long. When my day came, the technician cancelled, and we were another three weeks out for another appointment. I asked if I could just return the furniture because I was tired of waiting around and they told me because it had been more than three days they couldn't. Thanks... then I called the store to see what they could do, and although the manager was really nice, he couldn't do anything for me either because once it leaves his store it goes to customer service and it's out of his control. They never give you a time a day for when they come until the day before when they tell you any four hour window. So forget about if you work, because they will never make it convenient on you. When he came, he said he had to fix the scratch and I needed to stay (I'd sent a neighbor over since I cannot leave my job randomly) and it would take at least 30 minutes. He had to order another hutch. So now I wait again to get my furniture. I hate Ashley Furniture, and I cannot believe they are able to run a successful business. It's people like me that get suckered in, buy something, and then never go back. I wonder how many repeat customers they have after dealing with their customer service department.
