CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- This company is really bad with returning calls on complaints. When I first signed up for a new policy the agent didn't disclose to me that they have a policy that if a license driver is in the household and they don't have insurance they insist that put them on your policy. The agent knew my son didn't have insurance and after the money was paid for the 6-month policy, then they sent another bill stating to add a driver. I said I don't want to add my son, they said that is part company policy or we will terminate your policy. They wanted an additional $603.18 in which I was never informed in the beginning. So they ended up terminating my policy a little after 3 months into the 6-month policy and refused to return any money.

Give the Chicago consumer protection office at 100 W. Randolph St. a call at (314) 814-3000 and see if they can't assist you on speaking/writing someone about the agent's omission of information.

Very helpful review. Another reason to be sure you read all the fine print. While the salesman omitted this in his pitch, it should be written in the policy you agreed to in your possession. If not, you may have reason for a refund.

I know little about insurance and wish I knew more but even if I read the fine print, unless I hired an attorney to review everything in detail, might very well sign something not truly understanding it all. This is where I rely on my insurance agent. The problem I have with this review is the OP paid for 6 months of coverage, was cancelled after 3 months, and not refunded the difference already paid.
