UPS - Bad Service followed by Bad Servce followed b Bad Service
SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered a package from Amazon.com. They estimated delivery on Friday, April 27th. But the UPS tracking status was never updated until the package arrived at 6am on Saturday morning at their facility. So much for a Friday delivery.
On Monday morning I checked the UPS website for tracking info. It said my parcel was on the truck and out for delivery. So, knowing I would have to sign for it, I waited all day. At 6:00 am, the "Out for delivery" notice was replace with a new Destination scan and delivery was schedule for Tuesday. The original destination scan and out for delivery notice disappeared. Grrrr... what a waste of a day from work.
Not wanting or able to repeat this again, I tried to go to their website to change the delivery to a will call pickup. Oh, I have to sign up for their MyChoice program. Okay, I do that. But I still can't change the delivery - I have to wait 90 minutes for their computers to be updated? What antique computer system are they using?
I come back three hours later. I still can't do it. Grr... So I try and go to their live chat to see if I can request the change. It doesn't work at all. So I call customer service. I get through to a person and she starts droning on that she can't do it because they have an agreement with the shipper that it can't be done for some reason or another. She tells me to go to the website. I tell her I am coming from the website and have been getting nowhere with that but midway through my sentence she hangs up on me. !!!!!! That is never acceptable.
So I call them back. Now they're closed.
