Wyndham Valley Forge Suites Complaint - Roaches in hotel suite at $190.00 per night

Review by JulietM on 2005-11-06
WAYNE, PENNSYLVANIA -- When traveleing on 10-23-2005 to Wayne, PA near Philadelphia, I booked two suites for $190.00 EACH per night. My sisters room had roaches all over it. They moved her to another room. I stayed in my room next to the roaches. The hotel rerented the suite with the roaches that night without even exterminating it. Unexceptable behavior for a hotel. I would not recommend staying there. You may take some roaches home with you unknowingly. The management responded by giving my sister free breakfast which I later discovered was attached to her bill upon check out. So they tried to charge her for the free breakfast in the end. Why would she want to eat there at all? I couldn't stomach breakfast after that. This hotel was rated a three star. It should be a one.

Beware, if they were in your sisters first room it's pretty much a guarantee that they were in the rest of the rooms too. And you're right about not wanting to eat there. I'm sure the breakfast had the added bonus of creepy crawlys. YUCK!

This is what happens when food is dropped and left on the floor. You can thank all the nasty people before and after you. If there are roaches in one room then they are in all of the rooms, throughout the hotel. Although it would have been nice, to spray just one room would have been useless. You have to shut down and spray the entire hotel to do some good. If you spray a couple of room, the roaches will go to another room until the coast is clear and then come back. I understand you concern and although it was nice to offer a free breakfast, I wouldn't have eaten it and just left. Roaches carry disease and they will crawl over everything and anything. I hate roaches and will go on the warpath when I see one but don't blame the management entirely. They cannot spray based on the sight of a few but when everyone starts complained about alot of the rooms. You can also call the Health Dept, they can give that hotel the motivation to start spraying.
