Sonic Industries - Something Shady Is Going On
FARMINGTON, NEW MEXICO -- Yesterday for lunch, I drove through Sonic and ordered the family some burgers and fries, drinks, etc...I elected to have just a Route-44 Cherry Limeade. As we pulled around to the window to pay, I noticed all the windows had been tinted. You literally couldn't see inside the store. I've seen a few sliding windows with reflective tinting at other stores, but "ALL" their windows were tinted. What gives?
I've always found a certain amount of comfort in being able to actually see my food or drink being prepared. Even more important than that, is when I hand them my debit card for payment. With all the recent scams being pulled, I always want to see my card in full view of me at all times. Fortunately, I paid in cash on this trip. Had I used my card, I'm sure a disagreement would've ensued, since I would've requested the sliding window stay open and my card stay in full view during my transaction.
It normally takes quite a bit to lose my patronage at any given place of business, but this may actually be such a case. Lose the tint, or lose my business. I'm sure that one single customer won't bother them, and that's okay. I can live with that, and will take my business elsewhere.
