Philips Sonicare - RIP OFF - Sonicare last half as long as the older model...

I was very satisfied with my old Sonicare toothbrush for a number of years so I decided to buy a new one.
What a disappointment! In the old instruction manual it tells you to replace the head every 6 months, the new one EVERY 3 MONTHS!
Weren’t they making enough money off us that they had to make the new heads last half as long? Is that the technical advancement we can expect from Philips Sonicare?
On top of that, customer service didn’t seem to care about this issue.
Shame on Philips Sonicare!
