Hotel Stay - Complaint
I stayed at Leonardo Hotel Rigihof in Zurich, Switzerland. Priceline rated this hotel at 4 stars. Frankly the place is anything but 4 stars. It is more like a 2-star hotel. Identifying this hotel as a 4-star is really an insult to hotels that are truly 4 stars--like Marriott, Hyatt, etc. I have discussed the issue with the Customer Service. The people who responded to my phone were so incapable that they could not even find a solution. I have realized that lately there has been in an increase in the inflated star-raings with hotels on Priceline. The opportunity to make additional money is high--especially when I had to pay at a 4-star level for a 2-star hotel. I have written to the corporate office in Connecticut with the hopes of at least a single person recognizing some responsibility. Not a chance. The only reason why I use Priceline is because of the "name of price" option. Without this, their prices are not that competitive. They are making it increasingly more difficult to go back to Priceline. For now, I am using other sites. No need to support a bad system that does not recognize its short-comings.
