HACKENSACK, NEW JERSEY -- We paid $175/month for eight years to Wave2Wave for a relatively slow connection speed with frequent technical problems. (Wave2Wave "piggybacks" on Verizon's lines, so when there is a problem, they have to call Verizon for repairs, which makes things very slow going.) In any case, we were able to get FiOS (a much faster connection) for nearly one-third the price we were paying to Wave2Wave! However, after eight years, Wave2Wave claimed we were in a contract which automatically renewed every twelve months, and that sixty days were required for a cancellation, so we are stuck with a bill of $700.00 for four more months of service we will not use. I highly discourage anyone from using this company.

You may have a contract document that will show the automatic renewal. You have had 7 years of what kind of renewal? Had it been automatic in the past? It seems that while you have found good new service, you could be out 700$.
It is a good warning
