AUSTIN, TEXAS -- We own a 2001 Dodge pick up that the dash has been falling apart from several years. When it first happened I called Crysler and they said there was nothing they could do. If all the 2001 Dodge pickup dashboards are falling apart then Dodge does have a problem and should pick up the tab to replace all of them.

"Falling apart" is not an adequate description of your problem. You would have to be more specific before your problem could be justified. All cars and trucks have a lifespan. Your vehicle is well over 10 years old. Do you have any proof that all 2001 Dodge trucks have deficiences in their dashboards? Too many questions for me to decide if Dodge is at fault here.

I am 65 years old and 85% or thereabouts of my vehicles have been Chrysler (correct spelling) products, mostly Dodge and Plymouth, including a retired sheriff's car and a USDA station wagon. Even with the age and hard usage, I never felt the dashboard was falling apart. Our current vehicle is a 2006 Dodge Dakota that was originally a rental truck in Phoenix, AZ. The only thing done to it was body work when someone rode a motorcycle into it. One great vehicle.
