Midas Muffler - Front End Misdiagnosis
Brakes - Complaint
WATAUGA, TEXAS -- This Midas location replaced the front brakes on my 1996 4Runner in 2008. The vehicle developed a vibration in the front brakes within a year of the installation. I have had to return multiple times for "adjustments" and was charged for turning the rotors on the last visit. The real problem was a lower ball joint, which broke resulting in BODY damage of $1800. This Midas Muffler shop takes no responsibility for misdiagnosing this problem for over 3 years and multiple attempts to determine the cause of the vibration. Midas Muffler's website and other ads proclaim "Total customer care; total car car". This is NOT a pledge that this Midas location follows. Do not expect to receive expert service there.
