Home Depot - Buyer Beware Carpet Sections!
Flooring Carpet - Complaint
ANNAPOLIS MD -- I had a horrible experience with Home Depot carpet purchase dept.
Katy from Home Depot carpet dept in Annapolis scheduled an appointment for a carpet estimate. The first appointment was scheduled for the wrong time. The second appointment, I spent 2 hours on a Saturday waiting for the measure lady to come and measure. The measure lady was very nice. A few few days later measurecomp called me. I first spoke to Greg, who yelled at me when I asked to have a breakdown of the kitchen and bath and the labor. Apparently the labor is not separate and I didn't know that. I asked for a supervisor and spoke to Keith for 45 minutes. In speaking with him, I found out that he could only give me a quote for one bathroom. Apparently, the nice measure lady who came out to did not include the bathroom that I need tiled on her diagram. So Keith said I need to have her come out and remeasure and do a new diagram. I put Kieth on hold and called the measure lady myself and found out that the problem is that she mislabeled the diagram (floorplan). So I got back with on the phone with Kieth about this and told him that the diagram is mislabeled. I didn't need to have the measure person come out to remeasure because she is going to correct it somehow. It is difficult for me to take off of work for this kind of a thing and a big window of time. Then the next day, Katy called and indicated that Home Depot will not be able to assist me. I spoke to her supervisor Adrian who was supposed to fax me the floor plan and he faxed the notes but not the floor plan. I have not been able to reach him since. I want to use Home Depot for the carpet and this has been a very horrible confusing, experience. BUYER and consumer BEWARE WITH HOME DEPOT!
